A Stroke of Genius

In the April edition of British VOGUE, Anna-Marie Solowij exposes what she calls "the new creative order" in the art of makeup.

Solowij explains that the new look is a true movement, dug up from the streets, with elements of the art world, the fusion of fashion + music, and all things abstract and avant-garde.

For the article, with photographs by Paolo Roversi, makeup artist Lisa Butler (with Neil Moodie styling hair) created the look to capture the feeling of the piece, and Solowij goes on to describe Lisa as "an expert in challenging our perceptions of what is normal."

A Day in the Life

Style.com runs a frequent series in their style blog called "A Day in the Life" where they profile popular faces in fashion, beauty, and style.

During the height of show week in Milan, Neil Moodie shared what a normal day is like for a hair stylist that typically works 10-12 shows every season.

I'm surprised he even had the time to write it all down, given the ATM ate his bank card on Sunday morning, the models all showed up late, someone's heel snapped off, and WHO THE HELL IS DOING MAKEUP!!?!?!?!

All in a day's work, I guess....
